MatchesGolf.com offers free golf tips for those of you who like a bet on the golf and a great shopping area featuring new, used and clone golf equipment including clubs, balls, shoes and accessories at discount prices.

We have been successfully betting on golf for many years.

We currently specialise in pre-tournament outright betting. All our selections are sent to the Racing Post, the UK's No1 Daily Sporting Publication, for proofing.

Since establishing this business in July 1998 we have been compiling a database of all golf tournaments played on the European, US, Australasian and South African Tours, with information as far back as 1994. We also monitor and integrate information from the Asian, Japanese, Challenge and Nationwide Tours.

Selections

We take a long term view when betting. As you are no doubt aware, beating the bookies is not an easy task.

As mentioned earlier, we concentrate on outright betting but are also looking to expand the service in future to include match, three-ball and group.

When looking at selections for tournaments we will only advise players that we consider to represent value and almost always advise each-way bets.

Generally we bet up to 10 points per tournament, split between 1 and 5 players, although where we do not feel that any real value is available we made decide to side-step a particular event.

Dedication/Professionalism

This service is not run as a "hobby". We have been working full-time on compiling all the information available on the Tours mentioned above for many years (some of our information goes back to 1994) to give you the best selections possible, along with the best value.

We look at as many bookmakers as possible when quoting odds and wherever possible we will quote bookmakers who offer 1/4 of the odds 1,2,3,4,5.

When looking at selections we take into account the details of the course and where possible match individual player styles to the course.

We look at tournaments individually and use information for the last six years where available including finishing positions, stroke averages etc.
